Mike Bedford, instructional support technician, was named 2004-05 Outstanding Staff Member by the dean of the College of Communications.

Mike’s name is engraved on the plaque that hangs in Dean Rick Pullen’s suite in the company of previous winners of the award, including Don McLaren, Karen Brackett, Linda Lui, and Assistant Dean Peggy Bockman.

“Mike knows that keeping the equipment up and running is essential for effective instruction in this high-tech environment,” Pullen said. “He responds to faculty and student requests with a smile and willingly tackles computer glitches promptly."

Before joining Cal State Fullerton, Mike worked at Ambassador University and suburban newspapers in New Jersey. He also earned his master’s in communications from the University of Texas, Austin.
“The College of Communications is a perfect match for my interest and capabilities,” Mike said after learning of his award. “I’m deeply honored to receive this recognition from the dean.”
