HEWITT SCHOLARSHIP

Steve Hewitt, son of former Department of Communications internship office assistant, Al Hewitt, recently gave $10,085 and pledged another $10,000 to endow the Al and Louise Hewitt Scholarship Fund which was established upon Hewitt’s death on Jan. 5, 2004.

Al Hewitt also served as a part-time instructor in the department and willingly volunteered as a classroom guest speaker when asked. He was editor of the now defunct Scripps-Howard paper, The Fullerton Daily Tribune.
