RTVF Students View Electronic History

Students in the Management in RTVF class, taught by Dr. Philippe Perebinossoff, were treated to a special history lesson last fall when they toured the Astor Classics Event Center and Living Automotive and Communication Museum in Anaheim.

This is the second year his students have visited the world’s largest collection of working and restored antique telephones and radios, owned and operated by Art Astor, president.
Astor also is CEO of the Inland Empire’s KSPA Am 1510 (softer side of the 60s, 70s, 80s) and North San Diego’s KFSD AM 1450 (classical) and KCEO AM 1000 (financial news and talk).

Astor’s communications collection includes antique commercial radio microphones dating back to Marconi, radio inventor; antique telephones that date back to Alexander Graham Bell’s first model; and a working collection of vintage television sets dating back to before World War II.
