Jule Selbo (RTVF) has many feature film and television
credits, including her feature film, “Hard Promises,”
starring Sissy Spacek and William Peterson.
She also authored the animated ”Hunchback of Notre Dame, Part
Deux,” released in 2002. It was the winner of the Best Premier
DVD award for that year. The film was also nominated in the Best
Screenplay category.
Other writings include ”Cinderella Two,” a Disney video
release, nominated for a Best DVD Premiere award, and she recently
completed a feature film, “Ugly,” for the Jim Henson
Company. Further credits include producing and/or writing a host
of network and cable television programs, including George Lucas’
“Young Indiana Jones Chronicles,” ABC’S “Life
Goes On,” CBS’S “Touched by an Angel,” Aaron
Spelling’s “Melrose Place,” HBO’S “Prison
Stories: Women on the Inside” (Cable Ace Award nomination),
and “Search for Tomorrow” (Writer’s Guild Award
for Outstanding Writing).
She executive-produced and was head writer on an MTV series with
Roland Joffe, completing 110 episodes. Her most recent play, “Objects,”
directed by Larry Peters, was produced spring 2004 at Cal State
Fullerton’s Grand Central Theatre in Santa Ana. Other plays
have been produced in New York City, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and
regional theatres across the country.
Her first young adult fiction book, “Pilgrim Girl, Diary and
Recipes of Her First Year in the New World” (co-written with
Laura Peters), was published March 2005. Her short stories have
appeared in Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine.
