Professor
Patty Malone is a new faculty member in the Human
Communication Studies Department. She will complete her Ph.D. at
the University of Texas, Austin, this spring and will then be on
the tenure track.
Malone currently teaches Interviewing Principles and Practices.
She has also taught classes in sales presentations, business and
professional speaking, professional communication skills, and the
basic communication course.
She received her B. A. degree in Communication Studies from California
State University, Sacramento, and her M.S. degree in Communication
Studies from the University of Southern Mississippi. She also has
had successful careers in television, sales, and corporate America.
She worked as a television news anchor in California, Nevada, and
Mississippi and in public affairs for General Dynamics in Pomona,
Calif.She also has experience in consulting by serving as a workshop
leader, conference facilitator, and coach for the 2005 Ethical Leadership
Conference at the University of Texas, Austin, and served in the
same capacity to work with M.B.A. students throughout several different
conferences and workshops.
She has won numerous awards for her academic, news, sales, and
corporate achievements. |
