The CSUF-KCET partnership has made great progress with the production of a new TV show, “OC Insight.”
(Advertising) Professor Carolyn Coal is an assistant professor in the Department of Communications where she teaches advertising.
After receiving her B.A. in communications
at Penn State, she attended the Art Center of Design in Pasadena where she earned an MFA in film and advertising.
Prior to joining the faculty at Cal State Fullerton, Coal was senior creative director and executive producer at NoCo Media Group, a creative services agency and producing company specializing in new media and
niche markets.
The show, a discussion
of national issues and their impact on Orange County, debuted on Feb. 22 when the first two episodes were taped
at CSUF in the College of Communications
Television Studios.
KCET news reporter,CurriculumRoger Cooper, serves as host and engages a panel of experts, largely made up of CSUF faculty, in discussions on immigration
and wage issues.
Broadcast faculty, staff and students have teamed with KCET professionals to set the
production in motion. Produced by Assistant Professor Brent Foster, OC Insight will be aired on KCET’s new Orange County channel, KCET-Orange. The shows may also be screened at CSUF for the campus community.
Other field and studio program concepts that can be produced on campus for air on KCET-Orange are being explored. Questions may be directed to Dr. Brent Foster at bfoster@fullerton.edu or Cheryl Perreira at cperreira@fullerton.edu. |
